I promise to get back to over sized mirrors in the very next post. The teaser is the post below this one. But I wanted to take a break from interiors for just a moment and look at some beautiful fashion photography by New York based fashion photographer Meagan Cignoli. I must have met Meagan about a year or so ago. And upon entering her downtown loft for the very first time I immediately knew I had met someone with an incredibly sensitive eye. The photographs below only represent a fraction of that. Each of her photographs to me look like an unique universe within themselves. Each individuated in their own way. Yet all commonly bound with a level of introspection and a subtle play between subject and setting that I always enjoy looking for in her work. I additionally love how there is often not anything overly complex in the images. Yet they hold your eye and mind. They seem to maintain a certain level of photographic abstraction which I find very beautiful, and very contemporary. A street corner, a bench, a trellis, a blank area of color, clocks, and a plane of water are all heightened to become environments within themselves.
