A house from 1951 by modernist master architect Mies Van Der Rohe, it is still a source of inspiration. Though 60 years old now, it somehow feels as though it is becoming more contemporary by the moment. What other words could we use to describe contemporary design? Structural, clean, white, elegant, refined, reflective. Those words seem to have designed this house. A total glass enclosure allowing for zero differentiation between inside and outside. Only a system of white curtains can be used to close it off. I really love this use of fabric as an architectural element. It's a total example of refined living as well as lasting architecture.
