For the world's largest manufacturer of luggage, the language of the airport and the airplane were natural starting points for the design. Thus inspiration for brand graphics were taken from airport signage. The store section is set up lower on the sides. Thus allowing for HVAC and lighting to come from the top, just as above the seating in an airplane. A language of rounded corners in the details. White, blank, as the contemporary airport is, a nowhere zone. This allows for the merchandise to pop and distinguish itself, while inherently playing on the theme of travel. This first instance of the global design concept is under construction in Shanghai.
